In 2018, a large-scale project was carried out along the seaside promenade in the vibrant Sai Ying Pun district of Hong Kong. This installation transformed the space into an attractive and accessible place, combining natural aesthetics and robustness, thanks to the use of adjustable pedestals perfectly adapted to the requirements of this environment.
For this project, pedestals with an average height of 85 mm were chosen for their ability to offer optimum stability, even on seaside promenade surfaces. These pedestals were specifically selected to ensure a uniform and solid installation, essential in an environment exposed to climatic variations and high traffic.
The terrace was covered with wooden slats, a material that gives a natural and warm look to the promenade. Wooden slats, in addition to their timeless aesthetic, are ideal for outdoor commercial applications, as they are durable and weather-resistant. The use of adjustable pedestals allowed the slats to be installed precisely and optimized water drainage, thus reducing the necessary maintenance.
This seaside project in Hong Kong has become a popular place for residents and tourists to relax and stroll. The commercial application has created a welcoming and functional space, ideal for outdoor activities and to boost the Sai Ying Pun district.
This project illustrates the effectiveness of adjustable pedestal solutions in an urban seaside context, meeting the sustainability and design requirements of an outdoor commercial space. Thanks to high-precision technical implementation, this seaside project in Hong Kong embodies the potential of Buzon terrace solutions to transform places of passage into exceptional living spaces.
